While in Nepal, we were pleased to participate in two seminars at National Bethel Academy (NBA). One was to help teachers understand and positively impact the adolescents in the school. Since NBA now includes grade 7, the presence of adolescents is unmistakable. The second workshop was for parents. This was undertaken in partnership with KISC EQUIP, a teacher training agency operating out of Kathmandu. Attendance far exceeded the expected 70 or so, and numbered over 200 parents. The purpose was to familiarize the parents with the philosophy, teaching methods, and homework expectations at NBA, which differ greatly from those used in traditional Nepali schools.
