National Bethel Academy’s more modern teaching methods include a recently acquired TV monitor. The Social Studies teacher is using it to display information from the internet about other countries, thus broadening the students’ horizons beyond the limited information in their textbooks. Traditional teaching in Nepal is almost totally confined to textbooks.

Another example of NBA’a commitment to practical education, rather than the traditional Nepali emphasis on memorization, is the recent trip by 6th and 7th graders to a mushroom farm. Good, hands on leaning occurred.
